The 2021 Porsche 911 has 6 recalls, the most serious involving a center lock wheel bolt that can fracture and allow the wheel to detach, and a separate suspension fastener that can loosen and cause sudden loss of vehicle stability.
On the occupant safety side, certain Turbo and Cabriolet trims may have an incorrectly installed front passenger seat that causes the passenger classification sensor to malfunction, which can affect how the front airbag deploys in a crash. There is also a windshield and rear window bonding concern, where improperly secured glass can detach and, in a crash where airbags deploy, fail to support the front airbags as intended. Rear seatbelt retractors on some coupe trims may not properly secure a child restraint system, raising the risk of injury in a collision. The remaining recall covers the rearview camera, which can fail to display an image when the vehicle is shifted into reverse.
