The 2023 Porsche 911 has 5 recalls, the most serious involving center lock wheel bolts that can fracture and allow a wheel to detach, which can cause a loss of vehicle control.
Three recalls involve crash protection. The dashboard console can break during a frontal collision, causing the passenger airbag to deploy at the wrong angle. The windshield and rear window may not be properly bonded and can detach, which also undermines airbag deployment since the windshield helps direct the front airbags toward the occupants. Separately, the rear seatbelt buckle bolts may not be tightened to the correct torque, meaning the buckle can pull free in a crash and leave the occupant unrestrained. The fifth recall covers the rearview camera, which may fail to show an image when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, reducing visibility behind the car while backing up.
