The 2015 Porsche Macan S has 7 recalls, the most serious involving two separate fuel leak risks: a low-pressure fuel line in the engine compartment and a fuel pump flange or filter flange that can crack, either of which can lead to a fire.
The passenger airbag system accounts for three recalls that describe the same underlying issue: the sensor mat in the front passenger seat can degrade or fracture over time, causing the system to stop detecting an occupant. When that happens, the passenger airbag warning light may illuminate and the airbag will not deploy in a crash, leaving the front passenger without that protection. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, which is why multiple campaigns exist for this defect. The remaining recall covers headlight aim: on certain vehicles, the headlights may be pointed too low to illuminate the road adequately, or angled in a way that causes glare for oncoming drivers.
