The 2015 Porsche Macan has 4 recalls, the most serious being two fuel system issues where cracks in fuel pump components can allow fuel to leak near the rear seat area, raising the risk of a fire.
On the brake side, certain early-production vehicles may have a brake booster that was damaged during installation. When this happens, vacuum pressure can drop as you apply the brakes, reducing the power assist and requiring noticeably more pedal force to stop the vehicle. There is also an airbag concern: the passenger seat occupant sensor mat can fail over time, causing the front passenger airbag to switch off even when someone is sitting in the seat. The airbag warning light or passenger airbag off light will illuminate if this happens, but the airbag would not deploy in a crash, raising the risk of injury to a front passenger.
