The 2017 Porsche Macan has 7 recalls, the most serious being two separate fuel leak risks: a cracked fuel pump flange and a fuel pump service cover that can crack the filter flange, either of which can leak fuel near an ignition source and start a fire.
Suspension handling is covered by two related recalls: the front anti-roll bar connecting links can shift out of position or separate entirely, causing the vehicle to oversteer and potentially lose control. On the occupant safety side, the front passenger seat sensor mat can degrade and stop detecting a passenger, which means the airbag may not deploy in a crash. The lower seatbelt anchor on the outboard rear seats may not have been properly tightened and can pull free in a crash. On vehicles equipped with the optional ski bag, the bag can detach in a crash and strike occupants.
