The 2013 Porsche Panamera Turbo has 3 recalls, the most serious being an electrical short that can cause a fire, along with a transmission issue where the vehicle can roll away unexpectedly if the driver exits without engaging Park or the parking brake.
The rollaway risk occurs because the transmission does not reliably alert the driver or prevent them from leaving the vehicle in gear, meaning an unattended car on any incline can drift into traffic, pedestrians, or property. On the lighting side, the headlights on certain vehicles may be aimed incorrectly, either failing to light enough of the road ahead for the driver to react in time or throwing glare directly into the eyes of oncoming drivers, raising the risk of a collision in either case.
