The battery fire risk is covered across two overlapping recall campaigns, but the underlying hazard is the same: a short circuit within the battery modules raises the risk of fire, potentially without warning. On the charging side, there is a separate fire risk when using the included compact charger with a standard 220V/240V home outlet at the 100% charge setting. Some household outlets cannot handle the sustained current draw, which can cause the outlet itself or the charging cable to overheat and ignite. A good precaution is to verify the outlet's capacity before using that charging method at full power. The fourth recall involves the instrument panel cluster: when a passenger is not wearing a seatbelt, the warning light and audible chime intended to prompt them to buckle up fail to activate, leaving the passenger unalerted to the risk of injury in a crash.
