The 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo has 4 recalls, the most serious being two overlapping recalls covering a high-voltage battery that can short-circuit internally and catch fire.
The charging system carries a related fire risk: when using a standard 220V/240V household outlet at the 100% charge setting, some outlets cannot handle the electrical load the compact charging cable draws, causing the outlet or cable to overheat and potentially ignite. The fourth recall is a seatbelt warning system issue where an unbelted front passenger does not trigger the warning light or audible chime, leaving that occupant unaware their belt is unfastened before a crash.
