The 2015 Suzuki DL1000 has 3 recalls, all involving electrical faults that can stall the engine without warning and leave the rider unable to restart, raising the risk of a crash.

Three separate electrical issues affect this motorcycle, each capable of cutting power while riding. The battery ground cable can develop poor conductivity due to corrosion or contact with the painted engine case, starving the engine of the reliable ground connection it needs to keep running. The ignition switch terminals can corrode when exposed to moisture such as salt water, causing a loss of electrical power that shuts the engine down. A wiring short circuit can also cause the engine to stall, and unlike the ignition terminal issue, this fault does not depend on moisture exposure to occur. All three problems share the same end result: the engine cuts out while the motorcycle is in motion, potentially leaving the rider without power-assisted braking or throttle response at a critical moment.
