Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 F-150 vehicles. The power-adjustable telescoping steering column connector wiring may be too short. Wiring that is too short can become damaged or separate if the adjustable steering column is extended all the way.

Damaged or separated wiring may result in the steering column not moving as intended in certain crash conditions, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the steering column wiring harness and repair the wiring, as necessary, free of charge. Nissan North America, Inc.'s (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Infiniti Q50 vehicles equipped with Direct Adaptive Steering. The affected vehicles received a power steering software version that, should the engine compartment reach freezing temperatures, the power steering software may disable the electric steering system and also may delay the engagement of the mechanical steering backup system.
Safety Risk
The disablement of the steering systems could result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Nissan notified owners and arranged to have vehicles towed to the nearest Infiniti retailer. Customers were instructed not to drive their vehicles until they were repaired. Infiniti retailers provided affected customers with loaner vehicles, while the software update remedy was applied. These services were provided at no cost to the customer. On certain 2500 and 3500 series vans, the nut attaching the pitman arm to the steering linkage may not be torqued to specification, which could lead to a possible separation. A separation could result in loss of vehicle control, and a crash could occur without prior warning.

On certain Volvo 242, 244 and 245, the four bolts securing the ball joint may loosen resulting in a noticeable suspension noise which if left uncorrected may result in front suspension collapse. Also, the fastenres securing the steering rack assembly to the sub-frame may loosen and may lead to loss of steering control.
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, TWO OF THE FOUR SECURING BOLTS IN THE STEERING ASSEMBLY MAY NOT HAVE HAD A LOCKING COMPOUND APPLIED TO THE THREADS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. AS A RESULT, THE BOLTS MAY BECOME LOOSE WHEN THE CARS ARE DRIVEN AGGRESSIVELY.

On certain 2wd vehicles, the front hubs may have been manufactured incorrectly and could crack. This could allow the wheel to wobble, causing a noticeable vibration and, as a result, the driver may experience difficulty controlling the direction of the vehicle. Ultimately, the hub may break, allowing the wheel to separate from the vehicle. The errant wheel assembly could strike a vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury.
