As a result, the TPMS warning light will not illuminate when tire pressure reaches 25% below the cold inflation pressure stated on the tire placard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."
Safety Risk
Drivers may unknowingly operate the vehicle with low tire pressure, negatively impacting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. The recall began September 24, 2020. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-369-1000. Land Rover's number for this recall is N486.

On certain vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, a problem with the gear sensor (AGS) could cause the rearview camera not to work and the backup lamps not to turn on when backing up.
Safety Risk
A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. Additionally, backup lamps that don't turn on could cause a person not to recognize that the vehicle is backing. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the all gear sensor (AGS).

On certain vehicles equipped with Keyless Ignition, the Central Electronic Module (CEM) may not perform as intended. When starting the engine, the amber coloured warning light in the driver information module may illuminate and there may be a message displayed such as "Alarm System Service Required" (other messages may be displayed depending on individual vehicle equipment). In addition, one or all of the following may occur: The front windshield wipers may operate continuously while the ignition is ON. The turn signals may not function. The headlight switch may not work. The high beam headlamps may not work. The battery may drain.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (Mercedes Benz) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 S550, S550 CGI, S63, S600 Bi-Turbo, S65 AMG, S550 4-Matic, and S550 CGI 4-Matic and S400 Hybrid vehicles manufactured from March 3, 2011, through July 30, 2011, for failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)." The tire pressure monitoring system indicators may only illuminate for a portion of the time required by the standard and under certain conditions may not re-illuminate immediately after the vehicle is restarted as required.
Safety Risk
If all four wheel sensors in the subject vehicles are simultaneously malfunctioning or missing, the TPMS will provide an initial warning, but this warning will not automatically repeat on subsequent ignition cycles, failing to remind the driver that the system is offline. Driving unknowingly with incorrectly inflated tires may result in sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Mercedes Benz will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the tire pressure monitoring unit, free of charge. The recall began on September 12, 2014. Owners may contact Mercedes Benz at 1-800-367-6372.

On certain vehicles, a seal plug may have been dislodged from the wiring harness connector to the passenger side wiper motor during vehicle assembly. This could allow water or other contaminants to enter and accumulate in the connector, resulting in an intermittent or inoperative passenger side wiper motor. An inoperative passenger side wiper may result in reduced driver visibility in certain driving manoeuvres, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Note: The driver side wiper uses a separate motor that does not use a seal plug within the connector and is not susceptible to this condition.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, clean and properly seal the passenger side wiper motor connector. Inoperative wiper motors will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, water may drain from the windshield cowl area onto the front wiper link ball joint. Over time, this could result in corrosion and/or wear to the joint, which could result in the separation of the wiper link ball. If separation were to occur, the windshield wipers could become inoperative, which could limit the driver’s visibility under certain operating conditions which may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the wiper link rod with a countermeasure one, and will replace the wiper motor crank arm with a new one.
