On certain Audi Coupe Quattro, a securing clip affixed to the outside hinges of the left and right front seat back may not be properly seated due to interference with seat covering material. An improperly secured clip could cause a separation of the seat back hinge from its anchor bolt in the event of a rear-end collision and may result in injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Seat back hinge will be inspected for interference by seat cover material and material will be realigned where necessary. Damaged securing clips will be replaced if necessary.

If this happens while the vehicle is being driven, it could cause a loss of control and a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Both the driver and front passenger seat back recliner mechanisms will be replaced.

Certain vehicles, with the optional three-seat bench in the second seating row, may have been equipped with seatbelts that were certified to European standards, but fail to comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 209 - Seat Belt Assemblies. Due to incorrect load limiter mounting, the assembly loop is unable to withstand the forces specified by the Standard. Failure of the seatbelt to restrain the seat occupant as intended would increase the risk of personal injury during a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seatbelt assemblies.
Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. The center rear seat belt is equipped with a release mechanism that allows both the lap and the shoulder portion of the seat belt to be detached at the lower anchorage point by using a key-like tool. As the rear center seat is non-folding, this is contrary to the requirements of the standard.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
A production change has been undertaken to remedy this non-compliance condition. No corrective recall action is required as the non-compliance condition is deemed to be non-safety related.
On certain vehicles, there may be a problem with the front seat belt pretensioners. As a result, the driver and/or passenger seat belt pretensioners could explode in a crash. If this happens, small pieces of metal could hit people in the vehicle.
Note: This recall replaces recall R0200 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-627). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace both of the front seat belt assemblies.
On certain vehicles equipped with electrically heated front seats, there is a possibility, under extreme cold conditions, for the seat heater control circuit to overheat and fail due to insufficient electrical grounding.
