On certain motorcycles, a problem with the engine throttle valve control software could cause engine stalling. Engine stalling would result in a loss of motive power, which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
On certain motorcycles, certain suspension components, specifically the right hand bearing pin in the rear swinging arm and the lower flange nut on the front strut may loosen. This could impair the motorcycle's dynamic stability and result in a possible crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Bearing pin will be removed, a stronger adhesive will be applied and pin will be re-assembled with an increased torque specification. The flange nut on the front strut will be replaced with a self-tightening nut.
NOTE: REGAL GRAN SPORT MODEL.
THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE PIPE MAY CONTACT THE THE POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY. THIS COULD CAUSE THE BRAKE LINE TO WEAR THROUGH, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND AN EVENTUAL PARTIAL BRAKE SYSTEM LOSS. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR IN A SITUATION WHERE STOPPING DISTANCES WERE MINIMAL, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD RESULT WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
BRAKE LINES WILL BE INSPECTED FOR CLEARANCE AND REPOSITIONED AND SECURED. DAMAGED BRAKE LINES WILL BE REPLACED AND PROPERLY ROUTED.

These issues could increase the risk of injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator. For the GL1800 model, dealers will replace the airbag module.
