Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2021 RAV4 Prime Plug-In Hybrid vehicles. During certain cold weather driving conditions, while driving in EV Mode, the hybrid vehicle control engine control unit (HEV ECU) software may cause the hybrid system to shut down if the accelerator is rapidly pressed to further accelerate the vehicle, resulting in a stall.

On certain Passat and Passat wagon, the Engine Control Module (ECM) contains software that may not properly control engine speed with the air conditioning turned on. The ECM may briefly increase engine RPM and vehicle speed. A vehicle surge caused by an unexpected increase in engine RPM may surprise the vehicle operator and can result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.

On certain vehicles, the rod that connects the brake pedal to the brake booster may not be attached correctly. If the rod detaches, there would be an increase in brake pedal travel/force required to stop the vehicle. This can result in reduced brake performance.

On certain motorcycles, foreign objects such as small stones or other small/hardened road debris could fall into, and become caught between, the throttle body and the engine block. If this happens, movement of the throttle cable pulley can become restricted which could lead to difficult or imprecise throttle control.

Volkswagen Group of North America (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2018 Audi A5 Sportback vehicles. The front suspension fasteners may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle production, possibly resulting in a front wheel becoming loose.

On vehicles with more than 24 000 kms, the dealer will inspect the transmission to identify gears that have already experienced discoloration due to overheating.
