The 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200 has 4 recalls, the most serious being a throttle cable defect where the inner sleeve can slip out of position and prevent the throttle from closing fully, leaving the rider unable to reduce engine power.
The steering system also has a recall: the electronic steering lock can fail to disengage even after the engine starts, meaning the rider may attempt to pull away with the handlebars locked and unable to turn, raising the risk of a tip-over or crash at low speed. On the engine side, the motor can stall unexpectedly while downshifting or maneuvering with the clutch disengaged at idle, causing a sudden loss of drive power that can catch a rider off guard in traffic.
