On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, metal debris could cause the crankshaft bearings to fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.4L twin-turbo engine. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall No. 2025-614.
Safety Risk
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
On certain motorcycles, the engine could stall while downshifting or maneuvering with the clutch disengaged and the engine at idle. Lost propulsion (engine stalling), in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update Engine Control Unit software.

On certain motorcycles, the spark plugs may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. The insulator on the spark plug could break off and come into contact with the electrode, which could impede engine performance. If the electrode breaks in the course of a lengthy trip with high engine loads, the symptoms may not be immediately perceptible. However, engine damage can result if the rider attempts to continue the journey. Engine damage could result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash.
OPERATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OVER EXTENDED INTERVALS DURING EXTREME COLD CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN ICE FORMING IN THE THROTTLE BODY OF THE ENGINE.
THIS MAY EVENTUALLY CAUSE THE THROTTLE PLATE TO REMAIN IN THE HIGHWAY CRUISING POSITION AFTER THE ACCELERATOR IS RELEASED OR THE SPEED CONTROL IS DEACTIVATED.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
AIR INTAKE DUCT AND VALVE ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED WITH REVISED UNITS.

On certain vehicles, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe may not be completely sealed. This could cause hot exhaust gas to leak into the engine compartment. As a result, nearby components (like the oil separator) could be damaged.
Safety Risk
An exhaust leak in the engine compartment could damage components and create the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and repair the screw connections and flange seals on the EGR pipe.

On certain motorcycles, the clutch pressure plate bearing may break if operated frequently due to an insufficient load rating of the bearing. This could cause the clutch to fail, and the transmission to not shift properly. In addition, oil pressure may not be properly regulated due to an improper oil relief valve design in the oil pump, which can excessively stress the oil pump drive gear. This could result in the gear breaking, which could result in engine seizure from lack of oil supply. Either of these conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the clutch pressure plate assembly and oil pump assembly with parts of a different design.
