On certain vehicles, a crack in the electric roof locking motor's helical gear can result in the catch lever no longer holding the roof firmly to the windscreen frame. If both roof locking motors fail, the softtop could open while the car is in motion.

Dealers will replace both roof locking motors. The new electric motors have a stronger gear mechanism, which locks the roof into the closed position. When the car is parked in very cold temperatures for a long time, a relay in the brake system may freeze. If this happens, multiple brake warnings will stay on in the instrument cluster after the car is started. The driver may also notice a hard brake pedal. If the car is driven, this could cause an increase in stopping distance.

Certain vehicles serviced as part of recall 2014-093 or which had the Occupant Classification System (OCS) module replaced during servicing may have been fitted with an incorrect replacement OCS module. An incorrect OCS module would impair the effectiveness of the OCS, potentially failing to properly classify an adult passenger seated in the front passenger seat. This could increase the risk of injury to the occupant in a crash.
On certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, the parking pawl actuating rod ("parking rod") spring retainer may be defective. The parking pawl may not engage the parking gear fully and could cause the vehicle to move if the parking brake is not applied.
