On certain motorcycles, abnormally high engine oil pressure can cause oil pump failure. If this happens, oil will stop pumping through the engine, resulting in severe engine damage that can cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the engine oil pump.

On certain vehicles with gasoline powered engines, the accelerator pedal could move laterally, allowing the accelerator pedal bracket to be hung up on the stopper bolt on the floor panel bracket. This would cause the accelerator pedal to remain in the open position, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will remove and replace the stopper bolt with a flanged plate that will be bolted to the floor bracket to prevent lateral movement of the accelerator pedal.
NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.5 LITRE ENGINE. THE FUEL INJECTION DELIVERY SYSTEM MAY LEAK FUEL FROM SOME OF THE SEALING "O-RINGS" OR FROM HAIRLINE CRACKS IN THE THERMOPLASTIC FUEL INJECTION RAIL. IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE SUCH A CONDITION COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
THE NITRILE RUBBER "O-RINGS" WILL BE REPLACED WITH "O-RINGS" MADE OF AN IMPROVED MATERIAL. THE FUEL RAIL WILL ALSO BE EVALUATED AND REPLACED AS REQUIRED.
