Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Focus, 2013-2019 Escape, and 2015-2016 MKC vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.
Safety Risk
An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Owners will also have a alternative option to replace engine block heater element with a threaded plug, and remove the block heater electrical cord. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed March 6, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Certain vehicles may have been built with left rear brake assemblies that were incorrectly produced with one or both automatic brake adjusters what were intended for right rear brake assemblies. If a brake assejmbly has an incorrectr adjuster, the adjuster mechanism operates backwards causing lining to drum brake clearances to increase as linings wear. On vehicles with either the standard split or optional single system hydraulic brakes, there may be a decrease in braking performance as linings wear.

THE LINK CONNECTING THE ELECTRONIC REAR HEIGHT SENSOR TO THE REAR AXLE CAN DISCONNECT UNDER SEVERAL CONDITIONS, ALLOWING THE ARM ATTACHED TO THE SENSOR TO LODGE BETWEEN THE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY AND THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE PIPE. THIS ABRADES THE BRAKE PIPE AND COULD LEAD TO REAR BRAKE FAILURE.

Remedy
INSTALL RETENTION CLIPS TO INSURE THE LOWER AND UPPER BALL SOCKET CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE BALL; ADD A DOWN STOP ON THE SENSOR ARM; AND ADD A SHIELD ON THE REAR AXLE.
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2014-2017 R NINE T motorcycles. The bolts that connect the right-side swingarm pivot pin to the frame may loosen.

If the right-side pivot pin loosens, the handling and stability of the motorcycle may be affected, increase the risk of a crash.
