2009 BMW F 800 GS Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2009 BMW F 800 GS has two recalls, both involving drivetrain components that can break and cause a crash. The drive chain can fail and break over time; if it gets caught between the rear wheel and the frame, the rear wheel can lock up suddenly. Separately, the rear axle shaft on certain motorcycles may have insufficient wall thickness and can deform or snap under load, either of which raises the risk of losing control.
