The 2015 Ford E-350 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving aftermarket foldaway seats that can fail to stay locked during a crash or sudden stop, leaving passengers without proper support when they need it most.
Both seat recalls cover vehicles that were modified after leaving the factory to include Freedman GO-ES Foldaway Seats. In one case, the seat back can shift during a crash, and in the other, the seat back cushion may not stay locked under load during a hard stop or collision. Because these are aftermarket modifications rather than factory installations, the recalls apply only to vehicles that received these specific conversions. The third recall affects E-350 ambulances that were built out by VCI Emergency Vehicle Specialists and equipped with ASA Electronics Voyager backup camera monitors. The monitor can display the camera image in a mirrored or reversed orientation, meaning what appears to be on the left is actually on the right, which can cause a driver to steer the wrong way when backing up.
