The 2018 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU has 2 recalls, the most serious involving the clutch, which can fail to disengage and cause the rider to lose control of the motorcycle.
The clutch issue affects a wide range of Touring models from this era and can make it impossible to separate engine power from the drivetrain, leaving the rider unable to slow or stop normally. The second recall applies to bikes fitted with a Harley-Davidson Detachable Tour-Pak Luggage Conversion Kit, where the installation can leave the motorcycle without required rear red reflectors, making it harder for other drivers to see the bike from behind.
