The 2017 Harley-Davidson FLHTK has 2 recalls, the most serious involving the clutch, which can fail to disengage and cause the rider to lose control of the motorcycle.
The clutch issue affects a wide range of Touring models from this era and can make it impossible to separate the engine from the transmission, leaving the rider unable to slow or stop the bike normally. The second recall involves certain motorcycles fitted with a Detachable Tour-Pak Luggage Conversion Kit, where the installation of the kit removes the rear red reflectors, making the motorcycle less visible to drivers behind it, particularly at night.
