2021 Harley-Davidson Fxlrs Complaints

The 2021 Harley-Davidson FXLRS has 2 recalls, both involving the rear shock absorber assembly, where a fastener or mounting tab can break and allow the shock adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a sudden loss of tire pressure and raising the risk of losing control.

When the rear shock adjuster comes loose and rubs against the tire, pressure can drop rapidly, which on a motorcycle can make the bike difficult or impossible to steer. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, which is why two separate campaigns address the same underlying problem.
