2023 Harley-Davidson Fxlrs Complaints

These two recalls describe the same underlying defect and should be treated as one issue.

The 2023 Harley-Davidson FXLRS has 2 recalls, both concerning a rear shock absorber fastener or mounting tab that can break and allow the adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a sudden loss of tire pressure and potential loss of control.

When the adjuster contacts the spinning tire, it can puncture or wear through the rubber, dropping tire pressure rapidly. A sudden rear flat on a motorcycle gives the rider very little time to react and significantly raises the risk of a crash.
