The 2021 Honda HR-V has 5 recalls, the most serious involving the front passenger seat sensor, which can misread occupant weight and cause the airbag to deploy unexpectedly during a crash, raising the risk of injury.
On the fuel side, the fuel pump can fail while driving, cutting engine power without warning and increasing crash risk. There is also a rearview camera issue, where the camera image fails to appear when the engine is started with a key, leaving the driver with no rear view while reversing. A prior repair attempt did not fully resolve this camera problem, which is why it appears as part of this recall list.
