The 2014 Isuzu Reach has 3 recalls, the most serious being a loose left rear wheel hub that can allow the wheel assembly to shift outward on the axle, reducing braking performance and making the vehicle harder to control.
A second drivetrain concern affects Reach vehicles that have been modified with XL's electric hybrid system: a universal joint on the front driveshaft can fail and cause the driveshaft to detach entirely, cutting drive power without warning. There is also a brake light issue on certain vehicles where the brake light switch can bend during normal braking and eventually corrode, leaving the switch unable to activate the brake lights and giving following drivers no indication that the truck is slowing down.
