2010 Lexus Lx570

The 2010 Lexus LX570 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the accelerator pedal becoming trapped by a floor mat and sticking wide open, making the vehicle difficult to slow or stop and raising the risk of a crash.

Two recalls affect the front airbag system. A wire harness connected to the seat belt tension sensor can break over time, which causes the front passenger airbag, knee airbag, and passenger seat-mounted side airbag to deactivate without any visible warning. If a crash occurs with those airbags offline, occupants lose protection they would otherwise have. Separately but in the same system, certain vehicles may have been built with an incorrect driver or front passenger airbag that does not deploy as intended in a crash, again leaving occupants more exposed to injury. Owners of this model year should be aware that earlier production years of the LX570 are more broadly affected by the airbag concerns, while the floor mat and accelerator issue spans the full 2008 through 2011 model run.
