The 2013 Mitsubishi RVR has 5 recalls, the most serious involving a front suspension bracket that may detach from the strut, potentially damaging a tire or brake hose and causing loss of vehicle control or significantly longer stopping distances.
The seatbelt anchor bolt on the front passenger side may not have been tightened to the correct specification, and road vibrations can loosen it further over time, reducing how well the belt restrains the occupant in a crash. On the brake side, water can work its way into the parking brake shaft and rear brake caliper, causing corrosion that makes the parking brake stick or lose holding power. There is also a fuel gauge concern on certain vehicles where a wiring harness was left out during assembly, causing the gauge to show more fuel than is actually in the tank, which can lead to an unexpected empty tank. One recall addresses lighting and anti-rollaway compliance requirements under Canadian safety standards.
