On certain motorcycles, the fuel rail could shift positions and could contact other components and chafe, causing a fuel leak. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a bracket that limits movement of the fuel rail. Additionally, dealers will inspect fuel rails for damage and replace as necessary.

Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS 101) – Location and Identification of Controls and Displays. These vehicles may have an incorrect software version for the widescreen instrument cluster. This could result in the cluster not displaying any content upon vehicle start or a display reset may occur while driving, contrary to the requirements of the standard.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update the instrument cluster software.
Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The combined weight of occupants and cargo, as displayed on the Tire and Loading Information label, does not meet the requirements of the Standard. As such, the vehicle could be unwittingly overloaded, which would result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install an updated Tire and Loading Information label with the correct maximum combined weight of 432 kg (952 lbs).

On certain vehicles, incorrect application of anti-rust coating (PVC) to the transverse link mounting surface can eventually result in a torque decrease of the bolt that secures the transverse link bracket to the vehicle body. Insufficient torque on the bracket bolts can result in loosening of the bracket and subsequent separation of the transverse link from the vehicle frame.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Vehicles will be inspected and if necessary, PVC will be removed from the vehicle body under the transverse link mounting bracket bolt location and mounting bolts will be retorqued to specification.
SOME OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE FUEL PETCOCK, LOCATED ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK, MAY NOT SEAL PROPERLY DUE TO INADEQUATE MACHINING. THIS COULD ALLOW FUEL TO LEAK PAST A DIAPHRAM TO THE OUTSIDE RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
A NEW FUEL PETCOCK, COMPLETE WITH GASKET, WILL BE INSTALLED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
On certain motorcycles, the brake calipers could corrode over time. If this happens, the brakes could start to drag, which may cause them to overheat. Overheated brakes could lead to reduced braking.
Note: Dragging brakes could make noise when applied and create unusual odors or a burning smell. You may also notice reduced acceleration and the motorcycle can be more difficult to push manually.
Safety Risk
Reduced braking could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Royal Enfield will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the front and rear brake calipers. Until the recall repairs are completed, you should inspect your motorcycle before each ride to ensure that the brakes are not dragging.

On certain vehicles equipped with a 3.0 L diesel engine, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, you may notice a change in engine performance, a fuel leak, or a malfunction indicator lamp and/or service electronic throttle control tell-tale may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving.
Safety Risk
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-pressure fuel pump. Additional fuel system parts may be replaced, if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the software within the Central Electronic Module (CEM) may not send a signal to the fuel Pump Electronic Module (PEM). This missing signal to the PEM inhibits the start of the fuel pump. The driver may be able to start the engine in spite of the fuel pump not being activated due to residual pressure in the fuel system. In some cases, the driver may be able to drive the vehicle a short distance at idle. However, the engine will eventually stall. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will upgrade the CEM software.

On certain Passat and Passat Four Motion vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, an underbody heat shield may become damaged. If this occurs, the heat shield may contact the exhaust system, which can result in a vehicle fire. In addition, the affected vehicles may have a fuel line (1.8T engine only) or fuel tank ventilation valve (4motion / all-wheel drive vehicles only) that may leak due to fracture. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a vehicle fire.
Safety Risk

On certain vehicles equipped with a 3.3L V6 engine, engine oil can leak onto the alternator, which could affect charging system function and potentially cause the engine to stall and not restart. This would result in a loss of motive power as well as affect power braking and power steering system function, which would unexpectedly increase steering and brake pedal effort, potentially increasing stopping distances and the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the front valve cover gasket and repair/replace the alternator, as necessary, under a special service campaign.
