Certain vehicles may have an incorrectly manufactured guide plate which could hinder the function of the transmission parking pawl. Consequently, PARK may not engage when the button in the vehicle is pressed to select PARK and all indicators show PARK position is achieved. If the vehicle was parked on an incline of sufficient grade, and the parking brake was not engaged, the vehicle could roll away.
Safety Risk

On certain trucks, a washer in the transmission could break. If this happens, metal particles could cause the park pawl not to work properly. As a result, the truck could move when the transmission is in Park, and the parking brake is not used.
Note: This recall only affects trucks with a 6.7 L diesel engine.
Safety Risk

On certain Ranger Electric vehicles, the transaxle may have been manufactured with the park detent spring misaligned. If the spring is misaligned, the park mechanism may not engage when the shift lever is placed in the park position. If the park mechanism does not engage and the operator has not applied the parking brake, the vehicle may be free to roll as if in neutral which could potentially result in a vehicle crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Transaxles with misaligned park detent springs will be replaced.

Under certain conditions, the vehicle may not slow down after you release the accelerator pedal. This problem can only happen after a specific series of actions is performed in a short period of time, including disengaging the cruise control, changing the drive mode, and applying and releasing the accelerator pedal. If this happens, and you don't apply the brakes, the vehicle may not slow down as expected.
Safety Risk
A vehicle that doesn't slow down as expected could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the vehicle control module (VCM).

On certain P3 vehicles with i-beam front suspensions and automatic transmissions, the shift lever may not drop into the "park" detent when placed into the "park" position. This would allow the shift lever to move from "park" to "reverse" without the operator having to lift the shift lever and could result in the transmission being placed in reverse gear unintentionally. This could cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Vehicles will be inspected and shift linkage and steering column will be adjusted if necessary. If adjustment is ineffective, the upper steering column bracket will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, the transmission valve body may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the reverse gear may not work, or the vehicle could move forward, when the reverse ("R") or neutral ("N") positions are selected.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Safety Risk
A vehicle that moves unexpectedly could create the risk of an injury or a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission main control valve body.

On certain Corolla hatchback models, the torque converter for the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) may have not been properly assembled. If the vehicle were operated frequently under higher load conditions, such as under rapid acceleration from a low speed, the torque converter could fail. This may result in a loss of motive power, and create an increased the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the transmission and torque converter.

On certain motorcycles, the transmission may go into a false neutral position even though the neutral indicator light is illuminated. If this happens, the motorcycle could drop into gear unexpectedly and create the risk of a crash or injuries.
Safety Risk

Remedy
Dealers will replace the shifter cam (drum), the detent arm, and the neutral switch.

On certain vehicles, the automatic transmission may have a steering column gear shift tube improperly secured to the gear shift lever housing, due to the omission of an assembly staking operation. When built to specification, the gear shift tube is staked & retained with a set screw at the upper portion of the steering column jacket. A tube which is retained only by a set screw may drop as the result of the screw loosening in service.
On certain vehicles, the rear drive unit was not properly filled with oil. As a result, the rear axle could seize. If this happens, the rear wheels could lock up and cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Safety Risk
A rear-wheel lock up while driving could cause a loss of control that could result in a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to check the oil level in the rear drive unit. If the drive unit is filled to the minimum oil level, it will be topped up to the full level. If the oil is below the minimum level, the drive unit will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, the pressure control solenoid valve seals in the automatic transmission are not sufficiently elastic. This could result in automatic transmission fluid leakage at the pressure control solenoid valve interface to the valve body. This fluid leakage results in reduced pressure application to the internal transmission friction elements, which allows them to slip. Slippage of the friction elements can cause premature deterioration of the friction element surfaces and may cause the vehicle not to accelerate, or not to accelerate as expected, when the driver presses the accelerator pedal.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
A new pressure control solenoid valve seal will be installed in the transmission.

Certain All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles may have been assembled with an incorrectly manufactured transfer case that could cause early failure of drive chain. If the chain breaks, shifting the transmission to "Park" may not keep the vehicle stationary. If the vehicle is parked on an incline or bumped, it may roll and strike a person , an object or vehicle without warning and cause personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the transfer case code and, if necessary, replace the transfer case.

Remedy
Rear axle hub will be inspected and replaced if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the rear differential unit pinion nut may not have been tightened correctly during manufacturing. If the pinion nut loosens, it could cause noise, vibration, reduced gear and bearing life, and a differential fluid leak at the pinion seal. In the worst case, the rear wheels could lock up while the vehicle is in motion, causing a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will check the torque of the rear differential unit pinion nut and, if necessary, replace the rear differential unit.

On certain trucks with adjustable pedals, the accelerator pedal could get stuck on the all-weather floor mat. If this happens, the truck may not slow down when the driver releases the accelerator pedal.
Note: If the driver continues to brake, the brake-throttle override system will close the throttle opening and allow the driver to stop the truck.
Safety Risk
A stuck accelerator pedal could lead to unintended acceleration of the truck and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the all-weather floor mat. You should remove the driver's all-weather floor mat until this recall is completed.
