Remedy
Dealers will remove and re-install the rear window.
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS 111) - Rearview Mirrors. Affected vehicles were produced with a convex driver's side exterior rearview mirror designed for the non-Canadian market, which makes objects in the mirror appear to be further away than they actually are. This could increase the risk of a crash, which could cause injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the driver's side exterior rearview mirror as necessary.
On certain vehicles, water could enter and cause corrosion to the body control module and/or the A-pillar connector of the module. If corrosion were to occur, it may result in one or more malfunction indicator lamps to illuminate, a loss of windshield wiper function, a loss of all exterior lighting, a loss of horn function and inadvertent turn signal activation. These conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install additional sealing protection around the A-pillar sheet metal joint to the HVAC box to prevent water intrusion.
In certain vehicles, water may drain from the windshield cowl area onto the windshield wiper transmission link joints. Over time, this could result in corrosion and/or wear to the joint, which could result in the separation of the wiper link ball from its corresponding socket. If separation were to occur, the windshield wipers could become inoperative, which could limit the driver's visibility under certain operating conditions and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will relocate drain holes in the windshield cowl and install a wiper module with revised joints.
Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 104 – Windshield Wiping and Washing System.
