On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. On certain L9000 and LT9000 vehicels, incorrect front air brake chambers. 20" front air brake chambers were installed, whereas 12" front air brake chambers should have been installed.
On certain motorcycles, the rear brake line and rear brake hose may be susceptible to abrasion. Either of these conditions could result in brake fluid loss. Should this occur, the rider could experience loss of rear braking capabilities. Loss of rear braking could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Also, the positive battery cable could contact the battery carrier which could cause the engine to stall or quit and result in a possible crash without prior warning.
