(Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2006-2013 Audi A3, 2007-2009 A4 Cabriolet and S4 Cabriolet, 2008 RS4 Cabriolet, 2009-2012 Q5, and 2010-2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet and S5 Cabriolet vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
Safety Risk
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy
Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator with an alternative inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 23, 2018. On certain trucks equipped with a gasoline engine, the engine wiring harness (EGI) may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, an exposed wire could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the engine could stall and/or there could be electrical arcing.

Remedy
Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the EGI harness and replace it with a new one if it is damaged. If no damage is found, the harness will be reassembled correctly.

On certain motorcycles, a defective weld on the upper stud bolt at its connection to the front spring strut may allow the bolt to break during extreme riding manoeuvres. If this happens, the rider may not be able to control the motorcycle.
On certain vehicles, the engine oil cooler lines could fail, causing an oil leak. Oil may contact a hot engine or exhaust component, which could result in a fire. Oil may also be sprayed onto the tires and/or brakes, which could adversely affect vehicles stability. As well, engine oil spilt on the roadway could endanger other road users by making the roadway unexpectedly slippery. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury.

On certain vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission and a floor-mounted shifter, the ignition-park interlock may become defeated and allow the shifter to be moved out of the Park position with the key removed. An inoperative interlock may also allow the key to be removed when the shifter has not been placed in the Park position. This may result in the vehicle rolling away without warning.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Prius V vehicles manufactured August 22, 2011, to June 30, 2014. A component within the hybrid inverter assembly may overheat, causing the hybrid system to reduce output power allowing the vehicle to only drive a short distance. In some circumstances, the hybrid system may shut down causing the vehicle to stop while being driven.
Safety Risk
The vehicle may enter a fail-safe/limp-home mode that limits the drivability of the vehicle. The hybrid system could also shut down completely resulting in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the motor/generator control electronic control unti (ECU) and the hybrid control ECU, free of charge. The recall began on July 30, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371.
