Remedy
To reduce the safety risk, Ford recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed. In the affected vehicles, oil may leak from the PTO pressure switch onto a thermal blanket covering the exhaust.

The leaking oil may soak into the thermal blanket covering the exhaust, which when combined with heat from exhaust, may result in an increased risk of fire.
Remedy

THE ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL WIRING HARNESS MAY BE MISROUTED SO THAT IT LIES ACROSS THE AUTOMATIC SPEED CONTROL SERVO ARM HOLDING THE SERVO ARM OPEN. THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN THE AUTOMATIC SPEED CONTROL BEING HELD OPEN. DRIVERS WOULD HAVE TO STALL THE VEHICLE BY APPLYING THE BRAKES AND/OR TURNING OFF THE IGNITION.
THE GAS TANK FRONT MOUNT BRACKETS MAY FRACTURE UNDER STRESS ALLOWING THE GAS TANK TO MOVE AND INTEREFERE WITH THE STEERING. A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL CAN RESULT.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.
Safety Risk
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy
Owners of these vehicles are advised not to drive their vehicles until the recall remedy has been completed.
