Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023 Genesis GV60 vehicles. The automatic locking retractor for the front passenger-side seat belt may prohibit the seat belt from fastening and/or extending properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
Safety Risk
A seat belt that fails to fasten or extend properly may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023 AMG EQE, EQE 500, and EQE 350 vehicles. The absorbers in the roof frame may not be secured properly and can detach during window air bag deployment.
Safety Risk
In the event of a crash with window air bag deployment, detached absorbers can strike vehicle occupants and increase their risk of injury.
Remedy

On certain vehicles, the automatic locking retractor (ALR) feature on the passenger-front seat belt may not work properly. As a result, the seat belt could remain locked after use. If this happens, a passenger may not be able to use the seat belt.
Safety Risk
Not wearing a seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the passenger-front seat belt, and replace it if necessary. Hyundai advises not to use the passenger-front seat if you're unable to extend the seat belt.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The upper B-pillar interior trim may not be fully seated and could interfere with the side curtain air bag (SABIC) deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Safety Risk
A compromised deployment of the SABIC can reduce occupant protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy

On certain vehicles, the upper B-pillar trim may not be installed correctly. As a result, the side curtain airbags may not inflate properly in a crash.

Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the upper B-pillar trim pieces. The technician will reinstall or replace the trim pieces, as necessary.
On certain vehicles, a problem with the torque sensor in the electric power steering (EPS) system could cause a loss of power steering assist.
Note: Vehicles that were inspected under Transport Canada recall 2022-527 also require this inspection. Vehicles that had the steering column replaced are not affected by this recall.

A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the lot code on the steering column torque sensor. The steering column assembly will be replaced, as needed.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Transit Connect vehicles. The front door latch pawl may crack and prevent the door from latching.
Safety Risk
An unlatched door can open while driving, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Versa and Kicks vehicles. An intermittent electrical connection in the electric power steering (EPS) torque sensor can disable the power steering assist.

Loss of power steering assist can increase the steering effort required, especially at low speeds, and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the steering column torque sensor lot code and replace the steering column assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Model S and Model X vehicles. The front-row seat belts may not be connected properly to the pretensioner anchors, which can cause the seat belts to detach.
Safety Risk
A detached seat belt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Tesla Service will inspect the front-row seat belts and connect the seat belts to pretensioner anchors, or replace the seat belt assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. On certain vehicles, the front seat belts may not have been reconnected to their anchors correctly during a repair. As a result, the seat belt could detach in a crash.

Tesla will notify owners by email and advise you to contact Tesla Service to arrange for an inspection of the front seat belts. The seat belts will be reconnected to their pretensioner anchors, if necessary. If the seat belt can't be connected to its pretensioner anchor correctly, the seat belt assembly will be replaced.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Corolla, Corolla Cross, Corolla Cross Hybrid, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Tacoma, 2023 Lexus RX350, RX350 Hybrid, RX500 Hybrid, 2023-2024 Lexus NX250, NX350, and NX350 Hybrid vehicles. An electrical connection inside the steering column's spiral cable assembly may be insufficiently welded, causing the connection to separate and deactivate the driver's air bag. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

On certain vehicles, the steering wheel spiral cable assembly could disconnect. If this happens, the airbag (SRS) warning lamp would turn on, and the driver-front airbag wouldn't work in a crash. This may also cause the horn or other steering wheel-mounted controls not to work properly.

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2024 X5 sDrive40i, X5 xDrive40i, X5 M60i, X5 M, xDrive 50e, 2024 X6 xDrive40i, X6 M60i, X6 M, 2024 X7 xDrive40i, X7 M60i, Alpina XB7, and 2023 XM vehicles. The knee air bag (driver and/or passenger) may not have been manufactured correctly, which can result in the knee air bag not deploying as intended.

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 EQS450 and 2022 EQS580 vehicles. The bolts that secure the rear seat belt buckles to the body of the vehicle may not be secured properly.

On a small number of vehicles, the rear outboard seat belt anchor bolts may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the rear outboard seat belts could loosen or detach in a crash.

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. The screw that attaches the lower seat belt anchor to the seat frame on the outboard rear seats may not have been tightened properly.
