On certain vehicles, the rear side door lock mechanisms may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, child door locks may disengage if the interior rear door handle is pulled, thereby allowing a rear door to be opened with a second pull of the inside door handle. This could allow a child to open a rear door inadvertently, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rear door locks and replace as necessary.
There may be a small hole in the main floor of certain vehicles due to an incorrect weld. This could allow water to enter the right-side foot well and come in contact with wiring. As a result, an engine stall, a loss of lighting and/or a loss windshield wiper function may occur.
Safety Risk
A loss of engine power, loss of lighting and/or loss of windshield wipers could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the vehicle’s floor. It will be sealed as necessary.
On certain vehicles, the rear spoiler may not have been properly attached during assembly. This could allow the rear spoiler to detach from the vehicle while moving and become a hazard for other road users, which could increase the risk of injury and/or damage property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rear spoiler for any missing fasteners and install new ones as necessary.
