On the affected motorcycles, the damper plate assembled between the primary driven gear and the clutch basket assembly could break due to fatigue, and result in the engine seizing, and therefore, the rear wheel locking up.

A rear wheel lock up may cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
