On certain motorcycles, a vibration at the mounting location of the bank angle sensor, if combined with the misrouting of various wires that impinge on the sensor or its pigtail, can compromise the isolation of the bank angle sensor. Under certain circumstances, this may create a false "tip" signal and cause the engine to quit while an operator is riding the motorcycle. This could result in a crash, which could cause injury or death.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will move the bank angle sensor from the original location on the battery tray, to the current production location on the seat latch.
On certain vehicles, the material composition of the engine valve springs may include micro-foreign objects, which may compromise the strength of the valve spring, causing the spring to degrade and break. If a valve springs breaks, abnormal noise and rough engine performance will be noticed and, in the worst case, the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. A sudden engine failure would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install new valve springs.

On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant.
Safety Risk
