General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles. The release button located inside the front trunk compartment may not function after the vehicle has been shut off for ten minutes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 401, "Internal Trunk Release."

If a person climbs inside the front trunk compartment and closes the lid, they may be trapped inside, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the software in the vehicle's Body Control Module (BCM) to allow the release switch to always work, free of charge. On certain X5 M vehicles, the front side marker lamps are not illuminated as required by the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. These vehicles were equipped with front side marker lamps, but not with the power supply cables leading to the lamps. As a result, the front side marker lamps do not illuminate. Reduced visibility increases the risk of crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.

Each of the labels includes tire inflation pressure information in kilopascals (KPA) and in pounds per square inch (PSI) for one of the three sizes of tires available on MPV's. In every case, the maximum tire inflation pressure specified in PSI is incorrect while the information provided in KPA is correct. The labels show the maximum tire pressure as 240 KPA / 32 PSI when it should be shown as 240 KPA / 35 PSI.
