Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to not to drive your motorcycle above 5,000 RPM in 1st gear until the recall repairs have been completed. You should contact a Honda Powersports dealer immediately if the motorcycle has an oil leak. When repair parts are available, Honda will send you a second letter. They will advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the oil cooler pipe and install a heat guard between the exhaust pipe and oil cooler pipe.

On certain vehicles, engine oil can leak from the valve cover onto the alternator. If this happens, the charging system could stop working and cause a warning light to turn on.
