Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. Vehicles may have been assembled with headlamps that allow for horizontal adjustment, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle visibility, or could adversely affect the vision of oncoming drivers during low-light and night-time conditions, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install sealing caps on the headlamps to seal the adjustment screws.
Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. An incorrectly manufactured turn signal lever could cause the auto-cancel function to become inoperative. The vehicle operator will, however, continue to be able to manually cancel the turn signals.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the turn signal lever.
On certain vehicles, the driver may not be able to turn on the high beam headlamps if the light switch is in the "AUTO" position.
Note: This recall affects Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models.
Safety Risk
High beam headlamps that don't turn on may cause reduced visibility and could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) system was not activated at the assembly plant. Although the DRL's are inoperable, normal headlamp function is not affected.
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-020.
On certain vehicles, the stop lamp switch may not have been installed properly causing and intermittent contact that could repeatedly cause the switch to cycle on and off. Over time, this may result in the stop lamp relay sticking in the on position, causing the stop lamps to remain illuminated. This could also impair the brake-shifter interlock, allowing the vehicle to inadvertently be shifted out of park position. These situations could increase the risk of a crash or a vehicle rollaway causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the stop lamp switch for proper installation, if the switch is not installed correctly it will be repositioned and the stop lamp relay will be replaced.
On certain vehicles, the red brake wear warning light may not come on when the brake pads require replacement. This can happen when the instrument cluster display is set to the Map or Night Vision mode. Canadian regulations require the warning indicator to stay on when the brakes are worn.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2019-078. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk
Driving a vehicle with brakes that are worn out could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the instrument cluster software.

Certain vehicles may have had a replacement/spare part left rear tail lamp installed during a dealer service visit which did not contain a rear reflex reflector, thus failing to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. This could reduce vehicle conspicuity which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the left rear tail lamp assembly, and if necessary, replace the unit with one that includes a reflex reflector.
On certain vehicles, the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) module may fail, causing one or more of the following conditions: the DRLs may flicker but remain illuminated; the DRL indicator in the instrument panel may flash; the DRLs may remain illuminated after the vehicle is turned OFF; the DRLs may cease to function and the DRL indicator in the instrument panel will turn OFF. A loss of DRL illumination could render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and pedestrians during daylight hours, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the DRL module, if the above condition exists, for a period of up to 10 years or 240,000 km from first vehicle registration.

On certain vehicles, a faulty printed circuit board may cause the rear tail lamp / brake lamp bulbs (either left or right side) to fail. Failure of the rear lamps may result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions, as well as reducing vehicle conspicuity during hours of darkness, which could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace both rear tail lamp assemblies.
