Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE ENGINE CONTROL WIRING HARNESS TO DETERMINE IF IT HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND REPOSITION THE HARNESS SO THAT CONTACT WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL LEVER WILL NOT OCCUR.

On one vehicle, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 25S26 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-139) may not have been done correctly. As a result, another repair is required.
On certain vehicles, the powertrain control module (PCM) and body control module (BCM) may not detect a change in the charge level of the 12 V battery. As a result, the engine could stall. This could also cause the engine not to restart after a start-stop event and the hazard lights may not work.
Safety Risk
A sudden loss of power to the wheels or a vehicle that doesn't restart after a start-stop event could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to update the PCM and BCM software.
