The 2018 BMW X6 M has 3 recalls, the most serious involving wheel bolts and front suspension bolts that may not have been properly tightened, either of which can cause a loss of vehicle control and raise the risk of a crash.
The wheel bolts can loosen and break over time, potentially allowing a wheel to shift or detach while driving. The front suspension bolts securing key underbody components can work loose as well, degrading steering response and stability in ways the driver may notice only gradually. There is also a child safety concern: the lower anchor bars used to attach rigid ISOFIX-style child seats in the rear can become damaged with repeated use, weakening the connection point and reducing the seat's ability to restrain a child properly in a crash.
