Two of these recalls only affect hybrid models. On hybrid-equipped vehicles, a software issue in the hybrid powertrain control module can shut down both the hybrid system and the engine without warning, cutting all drive power while the vehicle is in motion. The remaining recall involves the passenger seat occupant classification sensor, which can misread whether an adult is sitting in the front passenger seat. If it does, the front passenger airbag may not deploy correctly in a crash, leaving the occupant without full restraint protection.
