The 2017 Infiniti QX60 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a brake system defect where fluid leaks onto an internal circuit board inside the anti-lock brake actuator, creating a risk of fire.
The ABS actuator pump can allow brake fluid to seep onto its internal circuit board, where it may cause an electrical short and ignite. Prior repair attempts on some vehicles did not fully resolve the issue, and the affected population was later expanded to include vehicles that had already been inspected or serviced under an earlier campaign. On the powertrain side, this recall only affects QX60 Hybrid models: the hybrid powertrain control module software can shut down both the hybrid system and the engine under certain driving conditions, cutting power to the wheels and leaving the driver without acceleration when they need it.
