The 2024 INFINITI QX60 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving multiple restraint system failures: the driver's airbag inflator can absorb moisture and deploy improperly in a crash, and two separate issues affect the driver and front-left passenger seatbelt pretensioners, which may not tighten properly during a collision.
The airbag and pretensioner issues together mean the front occupants may not be adequately protected if the vehicle is in a crash. The pretensioner concerns stem from separate manufacturing problems, one affecting the driver's side and one affecting the left front passenger lap belt, where a missing rivet can leave the pretensioner unsecured. There is also a visibility concern: at certain highway speeds, the adaptive headlight system can tilt the headlights downward on its own, reducing how far ahead the road is illuminated at night.
