The 2017 Isuzu NRR has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the rear axle and drivetrain: loose wheel bearing hub bolts can allow the rear wheel assembly to shift outward, reducing braking and vehicle control, and separately, loose U-bolt nuts can let the rear axle misalign until the driveshaft separates and the truck stalls.
On the structural side, the frame crossmember that supports the transmission can develop sharp burrs that break the transmission mounting studs over time, leaving the transmission without proper support and causing shifting problems. There is also an equipment recall involving a fire extinguisher that may not function correctly if needed.
