On certain vehicles originally sold or currently registered in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador), the steering column lower intermediate shaft can become severely corroded. This could cause the swing link joint to become stiff or seized. As a result, the upper intermediate shaft could collapse, allowing the steering column lower bearing to separate, causing a loss of steering capability. A loss of steering control could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the steering lower intermediate shaft. The upper intermediate shaft and steering column lower bearing will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired or replaced. If the steering column lower bearing has separated, a retainer clip will be installed.

On certain electric trucks, the two different types of coolant that were used could react together and damage the high-voltage cooling system. As a result, the high-voltage system cooling pump could seize and cause the truck to enter a reduced power mode. If this happens, and you continue to drive the truck, there could be a loss of power to the wheels.
Safety Risk
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the high-voltage system cooling pump and coolant. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the coolant level sensors. Additionally, the label on the engine and page in the owner's manual will be updated with the new required coolant type.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a small part of the rearview camera image to be blocked. Canadian regulations require the full rearview image to display while the transmission is in reverse gear.
Safety Risk
A rearview camera image that doesn't display properly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, update the rearview camera software.

Certain vehicles may not comply with CMVSS 1105 - evaporative emissions. The rear fuel lines may allow fuel to seep and evaporate at the metal line to nylon tube joint at the rear of the vehicle near the fuel filter. This may cause evaporative emissions in excess of the standard.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Vehicle will be inspected for signs of fuel escaping a joint between a nylon tube and a metal fuel line. If wetness or fuel odor are detected a reinforcement kit will be installed.

On certain vehicles, the engine compartment seal may become loose over time and fall into the engine compartment. If this happens, the seal could contact a hot surface in the engine compartment.
Safety Risk
A rubber seal that falls onto a hot surface could cause a fire.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a retaining plate on the engine compartment seal.

On certain King Cab vehicles, a severe side impact crash could create a relative displacement between the fuel filler cap and filler door. The filler cap tether may be stretched to the point of unscrewing the cap off. This may result in fuel spillage which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a modified fuel cap tether/pin assembly.

On certain vehicles, the front seat track position sensors utilized for the airbag system may not function properly. Sensor information is used to lessen inflation pressure for smaller statured occupants who may be seated in close proximity to the airbag. Failure of the seat track position sensors causes the airbag deployment to default to full inflation pressure regardless of the seat position. Full deployment could increase the risk of injury for smaller statured seat occupants in a frontal crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the front seat track position sensors and replace them if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the cover of the electric power steering (EPS) gearbox may not be properly attached. As a result, water can enter the gearbox and corrode internal components. Under certain conditions, this can result in a loss of power steering assist.
Safety Risk
A loss of power steering assist may result in a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low vehicle speeds. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Toyota dealer to replace the electric power steering gear assembly.

Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update vehicle software to increase fuel pump pressure in order to prevent deposits from forming.

On certain vehicles, the ESC warning light may not remain on if a fault was detected on the previous key cycle. Instead, the warning light does not turn on until the vehicle starts to move. Canadian regulations require that the ESC warning light must turn on when the vehicle is started (under these conditions).
Note: This problem can only happen if there is a fault related to the power steering system. The power steering warning light would stay on to advise that there is a fault with the steering system.
Safety Risk
This small error does not affect vehicle safety.
Remedy
This is not a recall. The company has made changes to the vehicle software to correct this issue on all new vehicles.

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The parking lamps are designed to operate at a higher light intensity to provide the required Daytime Running Lights (DRL) function. When the headlamps are activated, the parking lamp light intensity does not reduce from DRL intensity to parking lamp intensity as intended. The higher light intensity may adversely affect the vision of oncoming drivers during low light and night time conditions, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk

On certain vehicles, the rear brake caliper bolts may have been insufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly. Loose bolts could allow a caliper to detach from its mount, potentially contacting the rotating road wheel. This could result in partial loss of brake function, which could increase stopping distance. This could also cause a sudden loss of tire air pressure, which could cause the driver to lose vehicle control. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk

This could result in a no-start condition, or an engine stall without warning and without the ability to restart the vehicle, which could increase the risk of a crash.
On certain vehicles, the guide plate of the automatic transmission's parking lock pawl subsystem may fail. This could cause the parking lock pawl not to engage, after placing the transmission in the PARK position. If the vehicle was parked on an incline of sufficient grade, and the parking brake was not engaged, the vehicle could roll away.
