Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. Vehicles may have been assembled with headlamps that allow for horizontal adjustment, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle visibility, or could adversely affect the vision of oncoming drivers during low light and night time conditions, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install sealing caps on the headlamps to seal the adjustment screws.

On certain vehicles located in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador, the lower sub frame mount plate nut may corrode and fail due to exposure to road salt. This could result in loss of structural integrity of the subframe mount attachment. Detachment of the body mounts at the rear corners of the sub frame which supports the engine and transmission, allows the rear corners of the sub frame to drop. Should both rear corners drop, steering control would be adversely affected.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install subframe rear mount bolts, reinforcement plate and plate nuts.

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A TRANSMISSION MOUNTED INTERNAL EXPANDING TYPE PARKING BRAKE MAY HAVE A CRACKED PARKING BRAKE ACTUATING LEVER CAM. UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, IN TIME, THE CRACK CAN GRADUALLY WIDEN, REDUCING THE FORCE OF THE PARKING BRAKE. THE WIDENING OF THE CRACK CAN ALSO OCCUR WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS APPLIED. IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN TO AN UNATTENDED VEHICLE, IT COULD ROLL AWAY UNCONTROLLED.

On certain vehicles, a combination of low battery voltage at engine start up (~7 volts) and the vehicle being parked with the wheels turned could cause an error in the Direct Adaptive Steering ECU. This could cause the steering wheel to be off centered and the VDC warning lamp to illuminate. If operated this way, this could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update the Direct Adaptive Steering ECU.

On certain motorcycles, the hydraulic clutch system may develop a tear in the primary cup (seal) on the clutch master cylinder piston, if this occurs, the system may lose the ability to maintain sufficient lift to keep the clutch disengaged. If this condition remains undetected, it could allow the motorcycle to "creep" forward from a stop, which could lead to a loss of control of the vehicle possibly causing a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
