Note: This recall only affects Kia Genuine 4-pin tow hitch wiring harness kits with the part number R0F67AC200. These kits may have been ordered at the time of a vehicle purchase or purchased separately from a dealer as an aftermarket accessory.

THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN IMPROPER ROUTED WIRE HARNESS THAT MAY HAVE A CONDITION WHERE THE LOWER SLIDING DOOR HINGE BRACKET CAN MAKE CONTACT AND WEAR THROUGH THE WIRE INSULATION. On certain vehicles, the front trunk (frunk) hood latch may not be positioned properly. As a result, the secondary latch may not hold the hood closed. This could cause the hood to open suddenly while driving if the primary hood latch is released.
